Macbeth Then became King of Scotland and is believed to be the first king to introduce feudalism to Scotland. Duncan’s widow, Suthed, was from an influential family in Northumbria, England<\/a> and when Macbeth accepted Normans into his court he created tensions between himself and the last Saxon King of England, Edward the confessor. The treaty allowed Norway to keep the majority of its constitution as well as its own parliament. The act gave independence to the subcontinent of India<\/a> which had previously been under British rule. However western India had expressed its desire to become an independent dominion separate from the rest of India and therefore the act proclaimed that both India and the new dominion of Pakistan<\/a> would gain there independence as of midnight between the 14th<\/sup> and 15th<\/sup> of August 1947.
